These images were taken in 1984 of the layout in its previous location. At that time it occupied a single garage and was much smaller than it is today. Some parts have been reused in the existing layout, such as Michel Delving station (since rebuilt but to a similar plan) and Bree station and town (now rebuilt as the village of Staddle).

No.7 'Pippin', heading east with an Overhill service, passes No.6 'Frodo', with a Shire Passenger service.
