Accessories requiring an electrical supply include buildings, street lighting, sound effects and the coal mine (for winching trucks into the mine). Most of the scenery lighting is still under construction, and an estimated 100 light bulbs and LEDs will be installed across the layout when complete. It is intended that the lights will be grouped into networks so that they may be either all on, or switched on and off in groups.

The coal mine winch currently uses a 12V DC motor which is either on or off, but a planned upgrade will enable variable speed control through the use of a dedicated controller.

A sound module, controlled via the CBUS network, will be developed that will play background sound effects, triggered automatically by events on the railway.
